Last week, we, the partners, visited the Norwegian university H\u00f8yskolen Kristiania. The visit represented an inter-institutional exchange of experiences and mutual learning between Slovenia and Norway, as well as the transfer of good practices to the Slovenian context in the form of developed guidelines and a model of active learning in higher education.<\/p>\n

The growing economic and social demands of the 21st century condition the innovation of pedagogical practice and the active involvement of students in learning. This can be achieved through improved institutional cooperation and knowledge sharing at different levels. The project Designing for increased competence through active participation in higher education (DECAP-HE) is based on improving the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning in higher education and empowering individuals and institutions in higher education.<\/p>\n

\"The main effects and results of the DECAP-HE project include developed and tested new innovative pedagogical practices and active learning environments at two higher education institutions, with increased institutional cooperation and in partnership with teachers and other experts,\" said Assoc. dr. Polonca Pangr\u010di\u010d, project manager at Alma Mater and added that by visiting the University of Norway, they expanded their range of knowledge and experience.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the project is to develop sustainable tools and resources for didactic training, development of multipliers, mutual learning, system innovations for active learning at all levels of formal and informal higher education.<\/p>\n

Each partner represents added value to the project areas:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Alma Mater Europaea \u2013 ECM (AMEU) \u2013 didactic training, technologically improved teaching;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Kristiania University College (KUC) \u2013 applied learning for innovation in society;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia \u2013 economic needs, design thinking, lifelong learning;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Pedagogical Research Institute (PI) \u2013 science of education, teacher development;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Slovenian Student Union (\u0160OS) \u2013 needs, interests and employment of students; higher education policy.<\/p>\n

The project is co-financed by the Norwegian financial mechanism Norway Grants, and the managing authority on the Slovenian side is the Government Service of the Republic of Slovenia for Development and European Cohesion Policy.
