Program Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

As part of the project, we have initiated a program for initial didactic training of academic staff at universities and higher education institutions. The main purpose of the program is to improve the knowledge, skills, and competencies for teaching of all participants, which will ensure greater support for students in various educational environments and contexts.

Program objectives:

• To expand and deepen the participant's understanding of the processes of learning and the intellectual and professional development of students, as well as the impact that teaching has on these processes.
• To improve and upgrade teaching skills and the ability to design teaching strategies and learning activities based on the principles of active learning.
• To develop a reflective and critical attitude towards one's teaching and awareness of the need for professional development as a teacher.

In the program, participants will complete 120 hours of didactic training in 10 weeks, consisting of 10 learning units prepared by Dr. Slavko Cvetek and Dr. Polonca Pangrčič.
